welcome to my little helper. this test file will help you get your board
all setup to receive dorenet with gecho and transx. i have done through and
set it up to a point. your job is to sit back and check it out and edit it
to your system. i do recommend you keep this dir structure for if you fuck it
up then don't ask me help. now with that all out of the way go get something
to drink like coffee or code red.

01
[welcome to dorenet]

welcome to the world of network message system for mystic bbs. i do
hope you can learn from this little file. it does help if you have some bbs
message net experience but if not that's ok you can always read the file two
time over. =] first off i use gecho as my tosser and transx as my mailer. if
you use something else then figure it out your self.

02
[getting started with gecho]
ok lets go to the gecho directory which is located in the \echomail
directory. type gsetup and you will be prompted with the main menu. it will
look like this

here is a cool thing when you select node address and press enter and put node
number in that field it will list the sysops name from node manager. escape
out of it until is asks to save your changes and say yes. guess what? now
you get to do that too all your bases. once that is all done escape and if it
asks you to save one more time you say yes. WOW your all done with gecho.
good job. now let's take a break and come back and work on transx

03
[getting started with transx]

ok people we are now working with transx and this is how we get our
mail packets via the internet. now remember you need a pop3 account that you
use ONLY for packets. let's change to the \echomail\transx dir and type
TXSETUP and press enter. now this is the main menu. i use the commercial
version so mine may vary.

i put my echo nets in their own group. make each base look like this with the
exceptions of what you need for your board. for letter C make sure the name is
the same as the area tag that is set in gecho in area manager or look at the
dorenet.na file provided with this archive. do this to all the bases and then
once that is over your done. wow that was allot easier then i bet you thought.
ok now exit that and let's take a look at the base file i have here.

--//------
@echo off
CLS
cd \echomail\gecho
gecho scan pack <---- this exports the message bases to packets
CD \echomail\transx
tx <---- this makes transx convert it to mail format
txmail32 <---- the win32 mailer that sends to the pop3
pause <---- i put this here because i do this manually
tx <---- this takes mail on the server back tp packets
CD \echomail\gecho
gecho toss import <---- this imports new messages if any
mbutil link <---- keeps the jam bases links and updated
cd \echomail
cd \mystic
mystpack -pack <---- used to pack the bases
cd \echomail

[in conclusion]
